Our Founder
The epitome of resilience, Romel Joseph’s life stands as a testament to how one man can triumph over adversity to touch the hearts and minds of others globally. His commitment to sharing his gift, and his passion led him to inspire countless people to demand more; to demand better for themselves and others. We celebrate his intrepid spirit, undeniable achievements, and sustained impact as a musician, educator, and humanitarian. We thank God, our Creator, for his life, his work, and his love. When we think of Romel Joseph, we will forever recall his charge to us:
“Never give up… No matter what!”
Our History
In 1991, Hatian violinist, the Romel Joseph and his ex-wife and English teacher, Sherry Joseph, founded The Victorian School.
Their unique backgrounds in classical music and English inspired our core values; intertwining academic excellence with performing arts for a well-rounded cultural education.
Later named The New Victorian School after it was destroyed by fire on January 12, 2000 and again by earthquake on January 12, 2010, TNVS has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to inspiring excellence for more than 6,000 students since its inception.
Since 2015, TNVS has been under the leadership of Romel and Sherry’s daughter, Victoria, for whom the school was named after.
